Vibration plates are without doubt the exercise trend of the moment, and we suggest that you treat some of the more extravagant claims made with a good degree of caution. But there is definitely now a significant amount of research to show that they can dramatically increase the effects of your workout.

Whole body vibration alone has been shown to improve muscle performance, particularly in the lower body, and to improve balance. So while we don’t necessarily believe that 10 minutes on a vibration plate is better than an hour’s running (as we have seen claimed), it is definitely a great way to speed up and enhance your workouts.
